minor things that make you fume

More like a major fume, but this past week both my furnace as well as my back-up heat source (a pellet stove) went out. 6000K later I have a new furnace and parts replaced on pellet stove (thank God for Home equity Line-of-credit "loans"). I'm warm now but sometimes I wish I just rented a place live.
 

Driving from Weymouth to York to see in-laws and getting the whole way incident free, only to skid on sheet ice going round a bend at the bottom of a hill near their house because the council don't grit the roads there anymore. Luckily no cars were parked on the road (probably because they knew what would happen!) and I just did a majestic 180.
 

Hard drive still hasn't turned up after 3 weeks from France ffs.

Meant to be here by tomorrow but if it hasn't turned up by now it clearly won't by tomorrow. Annoying because amazon contacted the seller and I have to wait till tomorrow until I can put a refund claim in and it could take up to a week to get my money back, and then I have to pay more money to get a new one and wait for that! I needed it 3 weeks ago, tempted to order one from China now and get more memory for my money.

Are you sure it is cost-efficient to order a hard drive from China or France, also taking into account the time factor?
 
In the sauna with melts that take bottles of water with them because they may become dehydrated. Really?
Aforementioned melts spontaneously deciding to squirt water from the bottles onto the hot stones causing an eruption of almost superheated steam resulting in me looking like that Nazi at the end of Indiana Jones and the raiders of the lost ark.
Please don't.

I imagined from France it would be quite fast considering its all still EU stuff.

China out the question now, only ones I could find on the websites cost over 100 dollars for the same size drive as I can buy from amazon. If and a big if I can get my money back quickly I may just pay the extra and create a new amazon account for a free prime trial to get the thing next day. See if there is anything else I can throw on the order as well

I see yes normally from France it would be quite fast. How much are you paying for which size?
