No he isn't. He's important yes, but he's not the only player on the pitch.

Can anyone take a free-kick or corner like Mikel? Well they can certainly take a better corner, and I suppose now we can see how well we can take free-kicks without Mikel.

I'm gutted, but not going to give up on the season because of one player.

It's a massive loss for sure but the remaining players now have the chance to show their stuff and prove we can play without him. We've shown amazing mental resolve this season. Come on you Blues.

He is the icing on the cake to an otherwise good side. He makes the difference to make us that much better.
Without him we will struggle, he simply cant be replaced by anyone else

Mikel isnt just about set pieces, he controls games and gives us that little bit extra. Add him to the loss of Yakubu and its our most creative and our best goalscorer gone.

His loss will be huge. But i admire your glass half full attitude, but for me its the blow we cant recover from.

So we play different? We look at different styles, passing movement. Other players step up.

To say that we rely on Arteta for Everton, we sound like red [Poor language removed]. I also think its an insult to the rest of the squad.

He isnt the main part of Everton. We can get Baines or Pienaaar on the freekicks and corners - fine. Creativity in the center, well thats lacking - but who needs creativity? We can still win matches without Mikel - it will be harder - yes, but we can do it. Especially with Saha coming back. Drop Cahill into the midfield, with Fellaini and its fine.

Dont talk utter nonsense. Without Arteta we our half the team, to say any different is just plaing rubbish

BBC Radio Merseyside: no comment from EFC other than he's having a scan. Sounds moderately hopeful. If it was no go for this season they'd say so straight away.
