Have you ever wonderd how far we would have actually fallen if Mike Walker had miraculously kept his job? Well now you can find out in the new book all about the What Ifs of the world game by R M Skillen. What would have happend to Maradona if Sheffield Utd had stumped up the cash for him when he was 17? What would have happened to Pele if he had come to Europe? And how many World Cups should England have really won?

WHAT If? is available at whsmith.co.uk or amazon.com

It also features an Alex Ferguson, Paul Gascoine piss up. NOT TO BE MISSED

If anyone wants to quiz me about this book I will happy to answer them or even post a sample on this site

There is a little bit about Bobby Robson knocking Gullit back when he was in charge of Ipswich. But if you know something else let me know as if all goes well there will be a sequel.

is - 'What if Heysel' never happened in it??? or what if Clive Thomas had been run over in march 1977 ???.....

Or in a negative spin what if 'Kevin Brock had put it in row Z' ????

The only what if worth asking is:

What if Everton had stayed at Anfield?

The world would have been a far better place.

not getting paid a penny for this unless you buy a copy. I wrote the thing.

It is a general footy book.

It isn't just a what if book though. It also looks at the stories behind transfers that never quite happened. Like why Shearer and Gascoigne never joined Utd even though both actually agreed to. It also looks at the ten worst prem players ever (8 were signed by Graham Souness) as well as managers that have made supreme errors of judgment. Such as Harry Redknapp who turned down Ian Wright while he was in charge of Bournmouth and Shevchenko while at West Ham.
