4 Premier League clubs, 2 believed to be West Ham and Wigan and the other 2 unnamed are after him on a free. Now Moyes has publically stated he wants cover for left back, and if Yobo leaves as I think we all expect to happen, he would provide cover at centre half aswell. At 32 hes getting on a bit, but on a free transfer would be a very good signing if you ask me. I have a very strong feeling that we will be one of the teams looking to sign him.

I think the kind of players West Ham and Wigan would settle for, are different to what we should settle for.

I'm not surprise. It's a typical Moyes move. Remember Neil, Senderos, Jacobsen, Gardner, Stubbs, Ferrari, Gough?

Settle for?

He would be cover on a free.

I guess we should be bidding £50 million for Ashley Cole should we?

Just cause certain clubs might be after a player doesn't mean we shouldn't be interested as well if they can do a job.

Sure there are better players i'd rather have here than Silvestre but we're skint and need left back cover.

West Ham were after Yakubu but that doesn't mean he's not good enough for us.

Im not saying I want him to come in and be first name on the team sheet. But as a back up squad player, I think he would be a very good addition especially on a free transfer. His last three clubs are Arsenal, Manchester United and Inter Milan, so it is obvious he is a quality player. He can cover both centre half and left back, and IF needed, would do a good job in either position. If Yobo is sold, then the money saved by bringing him in would allow us to spend the money elsewhere. No brainer for me!

Yeah, for free I couldn't complain. I wish we'd kept Lucas Neill though. We got feck all for him, and he was just settling in. A decent RB and a good Cb -- better than this guy imo.

**** this for a laugh. Too old, would want relatively big money, would be difficult to motivate as he'd obviously see us as a step down. Arsenal fans hate him and I think United fans did too before he left. No no no.
