2025/26 Michael Vincent Keane

Am sat on the fence with this decision. £70k - £80k a week for an extra 12 months? Think it's a big outlay for the quality he brings to the squad at this time.
Fair shout, but take in to account the lack of transfer fee. So I am no transfer fee accountant, but take in to account PSR, we sign some needed wing backs or strikers then no transfer fee and other fees etc his wages could come in handy.

Tells you all you need to know about this summer's transfer window.

Dont expect much.

Or, by miracle's chance, they're trying to save money to be able to afford what we need, more firepower.

Given JB has gone down injured again, and Tarks’ form this season, it’s a smart move keeping him on another year and I think we will sign another CB to help phase out both MK and Tarks gradually

It's just ridiculous that we are discussing keane still as an Everton player, add to that that Tarkowski is at the end of his career and branthwaite has hamstrings made of straw it means centre back is a priority postion, so don't waste wages on him.
Alternatively don't go into a summer with one centre back who has already shown he's on the decline and your other centre back who plays at right back, hoping that you'll somehow get a superior centre back before preseason

That's how you end up with someone like Wout Faes

Around this time last season, Tarkowski got done by a long term hamstring injury.
Branthwaite has just been crocked for the rest of the season.

And people are complaining that we have cover and want specialised cover to carry on into next season?

Letting him leave, for free means finding the cash for someone else and getting them to actually sign. Then playing them enough to fit in with what we have.

And people are complaining.

Yet want first eleven signings in numerous positions and potential cover as well as. (oh how an Oviedo type all rounder would be useful).

It's almost as though some people are only happy with the oxygen of complaining and criticising.
People are really going to fume when they find out he is our 2nd choice striker too 😜

I'm ok with it if there's some sort of vision behind the scenes in terms of replacing him and Tarkowski next summer.

My worry is, if we don't have a miraculous transfer window this summer we're going to be starting next season with the same line up as this season minus McNeill.
