2025/26 Michael Vincent Keane

…..he’s done a magnificent job, there’s no two-ways about it. The fact that we’ve coped so well defensively without Branthwaite is in large part down to Keane and he’s 100% justified the decision to extend his contract. He’s arguably been one of our better players this season which is a major plus as well as a major surprise (to me).

Saying that, we are also seeing the emergence of O’Brien as a CB. He transitions really well after playing RB so often, you’d have to be very happy with him as a future central defender.

We’re actually in a very good position at CB, particularly if Branthwaite returns to his previous level.

never want players injured, but in the scales of it all could we get charly and grealish back sooner and him a bit later please

we look so much better with obrien there

also forces the recruitment teams hand to buy an rb

In 08/09 it was never osman or neville was it it was arteta jagielka and yak

in 13/14 it was never naismith it was deulofeu

in 21/22 it wasnt rondon it was dcl

please footballing gods just let our bad players get injured for once
