Twice the player that Saha is and still not as injury prone. If he wants game time and he's willing to come here, i'd have him here in a heartbeat, said it when he first went there, and its still the case now, was excellent in midweek.

Good article on line from the mirror stating Owen should leave utd for Everton in Jan, worth a read, sorry can't post link

I thought the summer was last chance saloon for us and Owen and when he signed the new utd deal to basically sit on the bench I thought that it showed what Owens ambition was these days 'Zero' !!

I don't know maybe January is the final chance, he will score goals no doubt and would be a great move for us and for him but I just don't know if he really is interested anymore

Tis a good article but you've hit the nail on t'head with your analysis. He's like someone in an office / factory just counting the days till their retirement and not really caring much anymore.

Not that there's anything wrong with that, damned shame though.

Like to see us make a move in January, he is still 20 a season if he's starting, precision finisher.

He has never scored 20 league goals in any season. He's well past it, on massive wages, injury prone, has no ambitions in football other than to make money, and even if he was back to his form of 10 years ago, he's unsuited to our style of play. Superficially he's got a good scoring ratio at Man U, but look at it carefully and it's mostly goals against weaker teams in the Carling Cup or dead rubbers in Europe. Why do people want us to sign injury prone has-beens? I hope the days of Gascoine, Ginola, Blomqvist etc are behind us now.

If he say managed to start say 28 times in the prem for a team like us which doesn't give you all the chances that Utd gets I could see him getting about 12 goals. I would take that. The problem is that I doubt that he could last that long.

Also Owen needs a 4-4-2. We don't play those fancy formations here.
