2024/25 Michael Vincent Keane

To the tune of Candle in the wind.

Goodbye Michael Keane
Though we never knew you at all
You had the grace of an elephant
Who’s just about to fall

You scored a goal v palace
Which helped keep us up in the premier league
For which we are all grateful for

But it seems to me, you lived your life like a deer caught in the lights
With your flapping and indecision under the Goodison lights
And we would have loved to have known you, but it went bent
Your candle burned out long before, your contract came to an end.
Those lyrics are so terrible that I hope we give him a new 5 year deal.

That`s just like the famous painting, The Scream.

Meanwhile, contract talks have restarted with centre back Michael Keane who is officially a free agent tomorrow. Everton now want to keep Keane, 32, and are hoping to strike an agreement that would keep him at the club.

Rather than buying a replacement for Keane, the funds can be used elsewhere. Jarrad Branthwaite and Idrissa Gueye are set to sign contract new deals in the coming days.
