2023/24 Michael Keane

I thought Michael Keane had an ok game against Fulham. Had the referee got the Tarkowski decision right, Keane would have been the hero of the day with his goal.
Like when he scored that screamer last season to draw v spurs

What people forget is he cocked up for their goal

Looking thru Twitter last night 🙄 Michael Keane getting the blame for the loss.

We got beat off Fulham, because we haven't got a Striker, not because of Michael Keane.

It's laughable to suggest Keane is the problem, he played well yesterday. Far too many sheep on Twitter, all targeting Keane, for no reason, other than, we need to have a scapegoat 🤨

Dyche is going to play him, people need to deal with that!

PS Keane scored a perfectly good goal, wish he'd had the chance Patterson had 🤷

He was directly at fault for the goal though.

Go and look at the replay of the goal. He moved to cover the midfielder when Gana was there.

So he was not covering the cross.

I'm not an analyst so might be wrong; maybe one of the clever people can correct me.

Was he, how do you work that out, once Patterson decided to move to the Centre, then he needs to call, Garner to drop.
Because Michael Keane ran 15 yards out of position to close down a striker 25 yards from a goal, in the process leaving a gaping hole in our defence.

For all you know Patterson may have called Garner back but he couldn’t get there.

There was no threat whatsoever from Mitrovic that far out

His lack of awareness, for a premier league footballer, is astonishingly bad

So yeah, he was at fault and continues to cause us problems

This. Sprinted out to the man, still got nowhere near him which Patterson is now forced to take keanes man, leaving a man completely free back post. His ability to read a game and sense danger is so poor. How many chances can we keep giving him.

Predictable nonsense on here. Wasn’t at fault for the goal, nobody was - a team goal conceded. Tarks pulled out to the left, Keane did what he should do and shuffled across, so did Paterson and it left a man over that Garner couldn’t get back to cover.
He didn't shuffle across though; he shuffled forward leaving the space for the cross and shot.

If it was the edge of the box, Tarkowski had been turned, then yes. Get over there.

But 25 yards from goal?? nah

Like you said, it’s constant and has been since he signed
