It's pathetic how some on here are all too ready to pillory our own players for what is supposed to purport to being amusing.

Again, I haven't seen the story.
I was out all day and didn't look at my phone but when I did, I'm in a group chat with the people I was on my course with, several of which have all got jobs working on fleet street (or what's left of it).
All the texts said is that, according to the Sxx's editor, it's Keane. My response was obviously it wouldn't be amiss for the Sxx to make something up, and I couldn't imagine it being Keane based on the fact that he hasn't been dropped and it'd just seem incredibly out of character (not that any of us actually know him, but y'know...).
Anyway, that's where the info I've got starts and ends. I wasn't even aware of the story until about 5 or 6.

But there was a huge story with a certain pair of England sportsmen last year for which most journalists - especially the ones at the big papers - knew what happened. They could have written it, could have gone with the story, but it's not worth the risk as there isn't enough evidence to prove it.
Kind of similar to one of the loveable England youngsters and his snapchat exploits during the World Cup. A paper was ready to buy that story but was contacted by said players' legal team. Came out in the end but still hard to prove.
I'm absolutely not jumping to conclusions on this and I find it hard to believe. Hopefully it's just a case of the Scum being the Scum.

No it's not a joke, it's just childish gossip, the sad thing is I'm sure there are some idiots who would like it to be true, even if it isn't, just so they can moan about him.
Dosent matter he has been our best CB this season, his form was poor under Koeman and some can't move on.

The only thing a heard regarding the story when it first broke, that it was at a Christmas party, I’m presuming the clubs Christmas party.
Again it’s only what I heard. But apparently Everton didn’t have a Christmas party this year.
Well until it's proven - which I doubt we'll ever know because these stories have a way of being covered up either way - I suppose it is gossip. Ultimately though the media works off gossip to an extent so it is a story. Hopefully it's not true. I find it hard to believe but can't doubt the information that I was given either really... other than the story is in the Scum.
If it's true, IF, it's very bad. I'm sure the club will have dealt with it.

On Keane's form, I agree. People have had the knives out for him at times and some haven't accepted that he's played well.
However, he still does have faults to his game and they're clear to see. Unfortunately they've crept into his game a lot more in the last few weeks, and he is ruining otherwise solid displays in moments of madness (like v Leicester).

From what I've read it was specifically stated that it wasn't whichever club's official party, just a pre-xmas gathering at a nightclub after an away game.
I also got told it was 'after an away game before Christmas' (that's a quote from a text). I said well the only away game we had before Christmas was City. I know they all stayed at the Hilton the night before (my RS mate was on a Christmas do there and was pestering Digne and Richarlison, the weirdo). Other than that, I know nowt.
No way someone at the club has been grassing to the s*n.

Ey that's another thing I pointed out. The assumption is they were sold the story by a freelance reporter. Probably because they're one of the few who would pay money to go with something like this (or at least the ones that offered the most).
