Let's not get carried away we could easily have been 0-2 down on Saturday. The defensive problems haven't disappeared as if by magic.
I actually think our defensive issues stem from midfield. There were a couple of moments on saturday, the 1v1 being the prime example, where they cut through us. That started with Davies and gueye leaving acres of space for them to find the through ball. We should be narrowing our positions to force the opposition out wide were we have more than enough pace to cope.

That people are merely pointing out that has form his improved - not that he's the second coming of Bobby Moore..
Over the last couple of pages I've seen the words 'awesome', 'brilliant', 'amazing' 'magical' as well as someone saying 'he thinks he's Bobby Moore' to describe a pretty straightforward, adequate display for a centre half. He was always going to look better with a real athlete next to him, and we always knew that he could do basic defending, because that's why we bought him in the first place, but it seems some people think he's suddenly become a different player on the basis that he hasn't directly been responsible for a goal for a while.

He’s playing well, it’s ok to acknowledge that even if you’ve set your stall out on him being crap.

He nearly gave a goal away by pushing too far up for a tackle that he didn’t do, then leaving a massive hole behind him which was promptly filled with Fulham players.......

Jagielka’s been doing this for years yet gets called our best centre back on here all the time. It’s almost like people notice what they want to.

If you think Keane's better than Jagielka then I think you must be the one only noticing what you want. If you accept that Jagielka's better than Keane then your point is kind of moot.
