Why would it have to be a specialist? You're talking about criminalising all naked images, past and present. Better start prosecuting people who watch nappy commercials next. Or parents taking pics of their kid in a bubble bath. Or yes, works of art.

I'm not sure if you are denying that photographers have ever taken pictures of naked children as artwork?

The naked form has always been a subject for art, even children. Think of the cherubs etc in paintings. When photography came along this medium was used too.

Obviously these days we are a lot more aware of potential dangers and wisely more protective over children in that way. But to suggest it didn't happen in the past seems odd to me. And to go back and blanket ban everything is unworkable and idiotic.

I never said it didn't happen I'm saying it doesn't happen now. I have no wish to google what you suggest, of cause you can't go back and blanket ban the painting of cherubs and whatever but we're not talking about paintings by Michelangelo Rubens or whoever we're talking about people taking photos of naked children in todays day and age. So I'll ask again do you know of any photographer who takes photos of children and in the name of art publish said photos.
