Anyone ever had an issue where all they can taste in their mouth is a metallic taste, anything they eat becomes poisoned by taste?

I'm hoping its just linked to the tooth ache I had last week and nothing else - but completely ruined by Sat. I have wine downstairs and it's just grim.

That's from the silver spoon in your mouth mate.

It's a condition known as 'Dysgeusia'.

It is usually caused by a dental condition, but it could be something more serious.

Though, if you have toothache, then that is usually going to be it.

Eat plenty of citrus or pickled foods. They should combat the bitter metallic taste and neutralise your tastebuds.

[Poor language removed], so really I should be going to the dentist asap, or a doctor.

Going off that link, I'd say they were all incorrect diagnoses.

I'd recommend going to the dentist Ghost. If it's an abscess it can turn horrible very quickly and can lead to all kinds of complications.

Can't mess about with teeth, once they're messed up that's it.

That NHS direct number is right.

And they'll sort out an emergency out of hours dentist if you need one.
