Bruce Wayne

Player Valuation: £100m
Not surprising but it's a fitting end to what has been a remarkable year, both for Messi and Barca, underlined by the presence of both Xavi and Iniesta alongside Messi in the top 5.

Worryingly for the Premier League, all of the top 5 players currently play in La Liga, with a glaring lack of PL stars in the running for the prize. Alonso hinted that the 50% top rate of tax will play a big part in the shift of talent to La Liga, especially as their top rate is around 25%, and if this is anything to go by that is very much the case.

With Man Utd and Liverpool fading, Chelsea ageing and Arsenal perennial nearly men it would seem that power is shifting to Spain, for the time being at least.

Great, we may well win the league this century!

The power is only switching to Spain because apparently it's one rule for them, and another for us.
Barca v Chavs last year was so corrupt, it was beyond belief.

The Prem has at least 6 teams capable of winning the Champions league.
Do Spain?

Grats to the most deserving winner of the award since Ronaldinho in his pomp.

And Spain was already a stronger league, this season it just became official

Messi bagged a hat-trick for Argentina this weekend as they beat Brazil 4-3. That means he's scored 7 in 3 games for Argentina this season to go with his 73 in 60 games for Barca  FFS 80 goals in 1 season. Insane.

This thread is a who's who of GOT's best banned posters

Hat's off to Messi, heard his 3rd goal was very tasty

guys a beast thats for certain. needs to do more of this for argentina to be truly classed as the best ever. even then i'd pick maradona. messi is a pure joy to watch though we can only dream of having a player like him in blue. *weeps
