I was told it has nothing to do with Everton

A serious question

I put the thread in world football

Therefore don't understand why it was locked ??

I can't speak for the mods but I think it may have been because this topic was covered at length the other day on the Liverpool thread.

Mods have got stricter ( some would say pettier, but not me eh ) but as many have said with increased postings ( I don't count them but that's what people seem to be saying ) you get increased bellism

Neville, as far as I can see the thread was locked due to the topic having been discussed at length previously, however I'll ask the staff who actually closed it if you want. There may have been bother with the topic, so do to take it personally.
