It was boiling hot today mate, but randomly pissed down later in the day, I'd have looked an absolute prick going along in waterproofs as a precauction, I look less of a prick if I fetch an umbrella from the car or stand under some other form of cover.

Do people look at you a bit strangely when you roll up to the beach in your waterproofs?

do you look stupid in t-shirt,shorts and sandals when it's raining? i never wear anything as a precaution (giggidy), i only wear my waterproofs if it's already belting down

You've got to be a certain age to carry off a brolly with aplomb.

Before that age a scally hooded waterproof with the string round the hood pulled so low & tight that it leaves a mark across your beak, or the getting pissing wet through option, are the way to go here.

...never had an umberella or pushed a pram when the kids were little. Never go to the supermarket, in fact only shops I go in are betting shops. Can't have this modern man stuff.

After living in Wales for the best part of 20 years, I have developed gills as it rains so much. Man fish does not need an umbrella.
