And now he is considered surplus to requirements at the worst midtable Manchester United side in living memory. Rodwell was 'rated' as one of the best prospects in English football, but now he can't even get a game for Sunderland.
Make no mistake about it, United fans think Depay is absolutely crap, and they cannot wait to get rid of him at a price that is far below what they paid for him just a couple of years ago.

Some of the top people in football rate him as potentially being one of the best around...he needs regular games.
LVG had him doubling up with the LB...he is a pure attacking player.

Loads of crap players have a substantial number of international caps. Mcgeady and Gibson probably have more international caps than Depay. It doesn't mean anything, and they are all crap.

21 years old and rated as a the future best player in world football. Signs for United an LVG has him doubling up with their LB even making tackles in and around the penalty area.
Thats not his game. Its like having Ronaldo and telling him to hold a position and track back to cover the LB...
Mourinho has come in and not given him a chance + schmeiderlin isnt in the side either...
If we had Depay on the LW and gave him a run of games he would be our best winger by miles and one of the best in the league.
Having said that, its best to do a loan to buy as we dont know what state of mind hes in.

He doesn't. Even Moyes has binned Rodwell now. Sunderland have never won a game when Rodwell has played for them. Rodwell is a great example of how players can be very highly rated when they are in their early 20's, and yet end up being absolutely crap.

A lot of them do, and that is the prevalent online sentiment. They can't wait to get rid for a fee far less than what they originally paid.
All the ones I know think he is utter tripe, except one fella, who incidentally loved Moyes, and there's a heck of a lot of glory hunting united fans over here.
