Rained if I remember, those blue and tangerine colours and first sight of pitch still so vivid in my mind

I believe it was the derby at Goodison in 2001 when McAllister scored that long range free-kick. Finished 2-3. Meh.

Not the first game I went to but the one I remember for some reason.

1977-78 season, Everton 1 Notts Forest 3.

I think Forest went on to win the league that season, and we came third; don't recall who came runners-up. I recall we beat Arsenal at Goodison later in the season and the fans around me were complaining about the boring football we played.
