Bruce Wayne

Player Valuation: £100m
The tournament was my first real memory of a World Cup, and it remains one of my favourite, despite not really being regarded as a classic.

What's your best memory of the event?

The tournament that got me into football in the first place.

My long lasting memory is asking my Dad who Paul Parker played for just about every England game. I very nearly became a QPR fan it seems.

Was a great tournament though.

Baggio being boss.

Roger Milla doing his dance.

Rene Higuita going AWOL.

Voller doing a bit of spitting.

Brilliant stuff.

Rescuing two fat birds from the mersey the night before the england v belgium match. Made the front page of the echo for that!

Then the night of the england v belgium match, gettin totally p1shed not remebering anything about the game, and waking up in some bird's house covered in them coloured rice-krispie things.........

Yeah it was Voeller that caught one in his perm.

Went past Verona's ground a couple of years ago (concrete Monstrosity) and they still have the logo's up from Italia 90

Schillaci symbolises Italia 90 for me, he had an amazing tournament, scored 6 goals and then disappeared into obscurity. That and the whole Gazza thing
