Meeting the players....

They drive to Goodison. You can try waiting by the entrance back of Park End, depends on crowds wether you can get close enough.

I worked in the ground a few years back. Some players arrive early. Moyes parks up just behind the big gate into the Park End Car Park. If you catch him he will sign things for you. Seen him do a few for the kids waiting.

They don't just stay there for away games, what would be the point in that? I've seen them stay there loads seeing as it's where I stay when I come to games for the weekend

Because they all live in Manchester and Cheshire surburbs. What would be the point of them staying at a hotel for home games exactly? Most here agree they drive to the ground and I've seen them do so myself so you're mistaken I'm afraid

100% the players all drive to the home games, straight from Finch Farm. They meet there in the morning for a meeting then a light lunch. They then make their way to Goodison and have to be in the changing room no later than 2pm, so if you hang around from 12.45 onwards you will defo meet some players. Some get dropped off by their WAGs at the Player's entrance on Goodison Road.

How can I be mistaken if I've seen it? They did it for the United game at the start of the season, I met David Weir and junior in the lobby beforehand and I was there as the team got into the bus. They stay there so they are all together before the game to make sure everybody is there. Not saying they do it every game but they definitely do do it.

So it's possible that if we wait in the Park End car park that we may actually miss some players if they get dropped off in Goodison Road?

If anyone else has any further info, please let me know....

btw, it's not this weekend's game, it's more likely to be the Spurs or Wigan match (before kick-off), unless we go after the Norwich match, although it'll be dark then so won't be as good for photos

I remember watching a youtube video once about Tim Howards pre-match routine, and in it I remember him saying that Moyes has a rule that all players must be at the ground an hour and a half before kick-off. So get there 2 hours before kick-off and wait at the Park End car pack by the barriers and you will get to see every player coming in....guaranteed.

Apart from Tony Hibbert...who I have never seen entering or leaving Goodison on the numerous times I have been at the ground early. Which always leads to a discussion with my mate of whether he a) gets dropped off at the ground by his mum or b ) lives at Goodison.
