Quick question...

My daughter's a new Blue (7 years old), and been to a couple fo matches already....

She wants to meet the players, and get autographs etc. Does anybody have any info on if they arrive at Goodison on match day in a team bus or individually, what time and where they arrive etc?
I assume they'll be OK to be approached and sign autographs?

Also, any info on any 'meet and greet' events coming up?

Fairly certain they arrive on a team bus. Not sure when tbh, three or four hours before the match? They sometimes meet in a hotel in the City Centre, forget the name of it but it's near the docks.

Anyway, i'm sure someone can be more helpful! Or Finch Farm as the previous poster suggested.

The players drive to the ground in their own cars, best chance to get autographs is wait in the car park at the Park end of the ground after the match

You should arrive very early on home match days usually about 13:30 if it's a 15:00 kick off at the park end car park. Done it last season and got numerous pictures with the players.

They stay in the Hilton in town and then get the bus there, they don't usually like to be approached in the hotel

I stayed at the Hilton myself recently, they only stay there for away games. Home games they make their own way to the ground. I remember in 2000 I think it was hanging around outside the Park End and seeing Kevin Campbell with his missus, Barmby and others casually walk through, taking pics with fans and signing autographs. They was no hint of security for them

They don't just stay there for away games, what would be the point in that? I've seen them stay there loads seeing as it's where I stay when I come to games for the weekend

At the far side of the away end corner of the park end there's always loads of boss cars parked there. They belong to the players. I think they get the ground about 3hrs before K.O. Our players are friendly in the majority and will usually sign whatever you ask within reason.

Good luck with it.

This - they all drive to the ground and leave not long after the game (20-30 mins maybe). The players cars are behind railings which run down to PE6/7 in the Park End. The gf got a couple of great photos with the players a couple of years ago after the Man City game at the end of the season. Twas pretty funny as most of the players came out and signed autographs and had photos taken with the small crowd that had gathered. The one exception was Anichebe the pleb. He made a beeline for his car. Then he realised Seamus Colman was blocking him in. He started honking the horn at Seamus and gesturing for him to move his car but Seamus kept on signing. After a few minutes Seamus went over to his own car got in and moved the car forward about two inches and jumped out again. Anichebe went beserk. Seamus had a good laugh at him then got back in and drove on.

Do they not do the Friday meals before a game anymore? I remember going to one of these in about '96, was the best thing EVER. Its a full blown signing and meet session. I sat with Ferguson for an absolute age, all the while he was talking about me, asking me how I play football. By the time we were finished, the cleaner was asking him if he was going to lock up, there was just me and Duncan sat down, while my Dad waited for me.

I got my photo on the Stadium Tours booklet aswell.

They don't do them meet the players meals anymore, I emailed a couple of years ago and they stopped doing them around 2002. Best bet like others have said is get to the park end car park around 12-12:30. I usually get my ticket for the game around that time and see them arriving seperately in their own cars.
