Simple question really..

Would you rather have a mediocre Football club, with a loyal fan base?

Or would you rather be bought out by Foreign hordes, simultaneously attracting a massive fan base and money grubbing players?

I think you know where I stand..

Great example of how not to load a question.

With my life, give me mediocrity everytime. Anything else would dazzle me!

I think the honest answer for me is that I would like us to be able to compete against anybody, without a team of egos.
We are possibly still 4 or 5 players short from that. Subjective, I know.

buy out loads of money for moysey to buy anyone he wanted premiership and euro glory wouldnt care a jot where the money came from
as was said before we are being left behind in the transfare stakes to spurs sunderland aston villa even stoke city
its starting to pssi me off and im as loyal to everton as anyone in here but 95 was 15 years ago now id sell my soul for silverware at the old lady now.

How bout you contribute to the thread mate.. You can even put a political spin on it if you must..

My contribution was to point out that this:

"Would you rather have a mediocre Football club, with a loyal fan base?
Or would you rather be bought out by Foreign hordes, simultaneously attracting a massive fan base and money grubbing players?"

...is hardly a choice.

A better way of putting it would have been:

'Would you rather have a football club that remains a community asset but remains competitively limited,
or a club that's bought out by serious investors, wins trophies but feels less like a part of its traditional community.

That is definitely a better question, and also why I haven't posted in here yet.

I've just sent Bill a cheque for £29.99 by the way...

We'd always want more though,DM buys player X for say 15 mill then in the winter window player Y becomes available for 16 mill he doesnt sign him,why not is the cry.

Nah while i feel BK has taken us as far as he can for now its better the devil you know

Just so I know...where on earth did we get the £20 million plus to unload on The Yak, Jags and Baines?

Money from Davies, Kroldrup and Beattie surely didn't add up to that?

We sold McFadden & Aj which raised nearly £20m that season didn't we?
