He'll score for fun if he goes to them, mark my words.
Quality player, Moyes needs to give the lad a chance. He's too good to be given a game every now and again and told to play here, there and everywere. He's a striker, not a winger. He best plays on the shoulder, he's used to beating one or two men and then having a chance at goal. He gets confused as crap out on the wing.
Just watch him for Scotland... he tore Holland apart.
4 million for Mcfadden, ill drive him to Derby for that price! Get rid, only plays well for when he can be bothered! Moyes wont let him go, he is scottish for a start!!
I have to admit, I would keep him. He needs to play more and can offer brilliance. Hard for me to admit as I have not always been his fan. But I say stick.
I like him as a squad striker / sometimes winger. He undoubtedly has talent, and I think towards the end of last season, in limited appearances, he showed improvement (finally) in his decision-making.
I would let him go for the right price, but I think that's a little more than 4M.
One of the points raised is very valid and that is the question of the different positions and roles Moyes has had him playing which may not have helped but Moyes if you think about has quite often had players out of position.
The real question about whether or not he can play better and be a consistent PL striker is can we afford the 5 or 6 games he needs to get there?
Vaughan, Anichebe it seems come straight into the team and do well.
We have to keep him or sign someone else because of the more games we have to play next year.
Then again I remember him missing an absolute sitter against bucharest in the return leg after all of 30 seconds, that could have turned the game because we hammered them that night and I still believe to this day had that really early goal gone in that we would have gone on to win.
errrr toughy i like faddy but cant see him as a first choice striker yet so how long will he play a bit part if other teams will offer first team footy
me i would keep him and i think davey moyes will too at 4 million but if they offer 6 he might be moving on im afraid
I think he has been with us long enough a good squad player when fit but he,s never going to hold down a first team place for any length of time.
I would deffo take 4 million for him.
Either way were onto a winner, if he stays its an extra squad player, if he goes then if someone is willing to pay 4 million for him then its a good return for a player who will never make it full time in a blue shirt.
You just know he's one of them players who will have a storming season with whoever we flog him to. He would set the Championship alight, just like Osman.
