Mcfadden - still without a club

He's got plenty of clubs, irons, woods, a driver and a putter. He'll be fine, plenty of cash in the bank, a heroes welcome in the new republic of Scotland and a highlights reel that puts Cadamateri's to shame.

I watched my first game at Goodison as a nipper in Dec 67. That team included Ball, Kendall, Young etc. Since then I've witnessed some of the worst and best times at EFC, and a host of great players, and I can honestly say that McFadden is among the top 10 in terms of ability I've seen playing in our team. I really can't understand the flak he receives on blue websites and from so-called fans at Goodison: he was played out of position by our clueless manager who realised his potential, but, just as with Arteta, Osman, Vic, Seamus etc. thought that sticking him out on the wing would bring out the best in him, when in reality, it just stifled his natural game.
He was forced to defend more than create and fans just slated his work rate (or lack of). If ever there was a natural No. 10, it was him. Some players should be allowed to express themselves without shackles (Barkley?) and I feel if J. Mc was playing in front of our new J. Mc and Barry, he'd be a huge success, knowing that the water carrying was sorted.
For those who doubt his contribution to our improvement c. 05, just check out the official DVD's and witness his assists, clever link up play with Cahill, Osman and Arteta, his incredible double headed goal line clearance and of course, brave and spectacular goals with head and both feet. The lad had it all, but bad coaching and injuries dealt him a bad hand.
I wish him luck for the future as at 31 yrs, he still could have some good times left in the game.

My lad will always remember his first GP visit due to Jimmy Macs superb last-minute goal vs Charlton.
I was there for that game.

I thought he was going to be so, so good after that. I know he was ok, but I mean 'Andrei Kanchelskis' good.

I know he was ok as I say, but obviously he wasn't as good as I'd hoped initially.

I liked him, tbf. Didn't , or couldn't , live up to the Scottish Rooney tag placed on him by the manager . Maybe that tag
made him try to hard to Be like Rooney. Or maybe he was just " Moysed". Who knows
Anyway , we have the boss goals to remember him by ;)
