:lol::lol:How long has been at Marsellis a couple of days?:

Stephane Mbia has admitted that he still holds out hope of one day securing a move to the Premier League.

The Cameroon international recently completed a switch from Rennes to Marseille, believing his development is better served in France.

At 23 years of age, the African ace feels his career will benefit more from a prolonged period in Ligue 1 than it will from securing a transfer to England too soon.

Mbia admits he did have Premier League options this summer, with the likes of City and Everton reported to be interested in his services.

However, the highly-rated midfielder insists the time was not right for him to make the step up into one of Europe's most prestigious divisions.

"My dream has always been to play in the Premier League one day," Mbia told skysports.com.

"I told the clubs that were interested in me that moving to Marseille was a step on my progression towards a top league and into a top tournament like the UEFA Champions League.

"I don't want to go and be a flop in any team, so one or two years at Marseille will help to improve me before I join an English team.

"I told those that were keen to give me a year before I will eventually join them in the future.

£6million quid for a bloke who's only wanting to stay a year?

Never want to see his name mentioned with us again.

Anyone as mouthy and vacillating as him would be disruptive and unreliable. Our miss is truly our mercy here.

He is 23 now and wants 2/3 years more to develop, what? If he has not got it now then some more years is not going to help.
