BBC transfer rumour news says Stephane M'Bia, who's returning from the Olympics, is "desperate" to complete his move to Everton.

On a serious note, I have officially stopped looking at the Internet for rumours, am only going to believe we have signed anyone when i see them with the shirt and standing there with moyes, like this!!

Stephane M'Bia is still hoping that Rennes will allow him to join Everton before the close of the transfer window.

The Cameroon midfielder has been a summer target for David Moyes, who is anxious to improve his Everton squad.

Rennes have been keen to retain M'Bia for another season, but the 22-year-old is desperate for a move to the Premier League.

He has returned to France following Olympics duty and wants Rennes to open negotiations with the Toffees.
Determined

"I haven't changed my mind, I want to join Everton," M'bia told L'Equipe.

"We are still in contact. I hope now that Rennes will accept to enter into negotiations with this English club.

"I don't want to let this chance go by."

M'bia picked up a knee injury while representing Cameroon in Beijing, but is optimistic it is not a serious problem.

He added: "I am in Paris. I am a little down. I have pain in my left knee, it has swollen.

"I had to be substituted early during the match against Brazil. I will have an MRI scan in Paris, then I will go back home to Rennes."

He's chopping and changing a bit. First it was Rennes is so good to me and I'll play there another year. Then it was desperation to leave for Everton. He certainly talks a good talk, this guy.
