If we got this lad, it would show actual ambition from the club, there's a reason he's chased by so many top clubs lads. Plus, it would save me having to spend money on him on FM13. If we somehow managed to sell Anichebe for 3-5m, spending a net couple of million on Niang would be a sound investment IMO.

That record doesnt sound or look great but for a 17 year old he's well developed, a big lad with a lot of talent, much more than Vellios, Anichebe & Gueye and will only get better. IF, and it's a massive IF, we do sign him, in 2/3 years time that £6m will seem dirt cheap IMO!.

Fair point. But I seem to be the only one here convinced vellios is all the back up for jelavic we need. Another teenager for the bench wouldn't do us any harm.

Moyes doesn't play our own youth, so he's not going to go and splurge our kitty on more youth.

That said this would be a smart transfer. He's clearly a very hot prospect and well, that's how we survive -- buying low, selling high. Or we used to like.
