Rightly so - not worth that much. Market has gone mad for British players. That Michu looks a steal at £2M for Swansea - albeit 1 game and I watched Finidi George do exactly the same for Ipswich on his debut and then bomb - but still in comparison you can understand why the Prem is full of players from overseas now.

Joe Allen at £15m. When I first heard that I just assumed it was a joke. One decent season under no pressure at a lower standard club.

But it was true. Fantastic example of "British Premium" and Brendan Rodgers throwing a kickback to Swansea as a leaving present. He's worth £6m tops.

They didn't learn from throwing away £35m on Carroll apparently.

Carrol, Downing, Henderson.

There you go, 3 more expensive and laughably bad transfers.
