I assume that this thread being titled 'Matt Phillips' ensures that I have indeed posted 'said' sentence in the correct thread.

Sadly, what you're alluding to would either refer to me;

A -- Reading something -- no i was told the information

B -- Making something up -- no i was told the information

C -- Hearing something on the news -- no everton coverage here

D -- Told the information......sounds a little more realistic.

Thus, you should have the common sense to assume that i was;
