@micknick and @GrandOldTeam should already be aware that I am perfectly happy to provide match reports for any/every home game this season.
New notepads and pens are ready and waiting

And I am looking forward to reading them again, Andy

It had got to the stage last season where when my wife asked "Did you enjoy the match, darling?" after I came home from Goodison, I replied....... "I don't know yet.....I need to read Block's report first" lol

I'm glad @Andy C was the only one who gave up his time and had to stay awake often all night to get them out.

There's nothing stopping anyone who has the skillz from writing their own match summary thread. No need to have someone directly allocated to it.

I'd do it myself only A) I'm usually too busy pouring ale down my neck B) don't have the attention span and C) too busy giving @Bungle a reach-around!

Whilst you are right in saying match report threads are open to everyone with the skill and the time to write them, such people should put their names forward and go into a pool of writers, one to be allocated the task on each match day.

Otherwise we could have three or four match reports turning up of a Saturday evening

And multiple threads about the same subject are frowned upon round these parts.

There was some stroppy Aussie who wrote some ace reports, you should have a word with him and see if he can give you any tips mate !
