Everton got off to a perfect start through Magaye Gueye then found themselves two one down. Everton then stepped up the rhythm to notch another 3 to put the chance of a Wanderers comeback out of sight.

Only goal difference separates these two teams languishing at the roots of the table Everton holding them all up with today's visitors sitting directly above them.

Everton got their first win last Monday against Blackburn at Leigh Sports village courtesy of a Shane Duffy header with Bolton not having won for a month since they defeated West Ham at Upton Park with David Ngog and Jack Sampson hitting the goals.

Two chances for the blues unfolded in the opening 10 minutes as Forrester gave Kennedy a chance that Lych saved then Junior also rattled one but could only manage to hit Vellios.

Junior showed a touch of class as he managed to shake off 2 Bolton players as Gueye was a recipient of his fine ball to put the blues ahead but only for 5 minutes as Taudul was guilty of bringing down Odelusi with O'Halloran levelling from the spot.

Confidence set in for the Trotters and took a deserved lead on the half hour after Odelusi fired home after a lovely ball from Kellett .

In torrential rain the second half got underway with Everton levelling matters again after inserting pressure, Everton won a corner and as the delivery came over into the box from Kennedy and a first for the season for second year scholar Matthew Pennington.

The game was finely in the balance and to equal Pennington's first goal at this level. Kennedy responded with his since his signing from Kilmarnock on the hour with a free kick from Gueye coming out to the Scot who found the corner of the net and restore the blues lead.

Bolton never gave up despite trailing and were unlucky not to be on level terms once more as a Kelly effort curled towrads the frame of the goal but was read well by Taudul.

Everton took the game by the scruff of the neck once more with 20 minutes remaining to stretch their lead to a 2 goal advantage. McAleny back from a spell on the sidelines ran towards goal but fortunately for him his marker, Threlkeld fell allowing him time and space to make sure of the strike.

The game was finally over with defender Duffy who just can't stop scoring at this level with another header again from a Kennedy corner to give the blues a good win and a good night's sleep for coach Alan Stubbs.

Thanks AB....... The U21s are starting to get a few decent results together.

Good to see the young Scot (Kennedy) get settled at the club and get his first goal..

Nice one AB.

Watched the goals last night and Conor's was a peach, and the interplay and setup for the first was excellent.

Cheers fella, keep up the the great work.
