And to think the other thread was closed to accommodate this garbage

As @blue to the bone pointed out on the other thread, totally disgraceful behaviour by the panel of "experts" a.k.a. Shearer and Murphy who joined the posse trying to flog our player to Chelsea.

Citing that paragon of virtue, anti-racist activist and all round good egg John Terry as one of the main reasons Stones should join them.

"Stones could learn so much from watching the best centre half ever in the PL" cooed Shearer.

Murphy went one further and said Stones would fit right in at Chelsea, replacing Cahill immediately.

Which in itself would be poetic justice given Cahill's involvement in the tapping up row.

MOTD have involved themselves in the tapping up of Stones as much as Jose, Terry and Cahill have.

And they don't even have the vested interest those three gougers do.

Disgraceful stuff.

Agree with that about them talking about Stones as if we've no right to have him.

I must've missed that about Cahill, what was that?

Nearly didn't watch MOTD last night and having witnessed the discussion on Stones, I was appalled and might boycott it in future. Lineker and co are supposed to discuss what went on not what they or Chelsea might like to see happen.
No dissection of a great strike by Ross was there... No, cos right now nobody is trying to strip him away from GP. That will re-surface in the event Ross scores another couple of belters.

Those two make bill and ben look intellectual

This is correct. Shearer is perhaps the biggest dullard in football punditry - or maybe joint biggest, along with the rest of them on any channel.

As the saying goes: "Those who can, do. Those who can't, talk about it".

Shearer certainly couldn't. Most of them didn't even attempt it (management).

To think that some of these beauts are on as much (perhaps more) now, as pundits, than they ever were as players; paid to spew such drivel - that the average joe on the street could do FAR better - only reinforces my stance against the Tv licence (Which isn't getting paid by me anyway).

Simple solution - don't watch motd. I haven't for a good few years.

Murphy reckons Stones would "fit right in at Chelsea and would take Cahill's place right away".

I have never been as annoyed watching a TV programme before.

It was outrageous

The only way the BBC bells on there will take note is if they see someone take it to them.

i.e. Match of the Day commentators know nothing about football.

Facts.

Shearer took Newscastle down.

Danny Murphy was never really that good as a player. Let alone a commentator.

Being lectured by them about our players is like being savaged by a chiwawa

Stuff like that.

Would applaud seeing that somewhere prominent.
