Mass Fight at Brazilian League Game

Vasco V Atletico PR was held up for over an hour todat after a huge fight - police reinforcements were flown in by helicopter which landed on the pitch!

Can't help thinking that if this happened in England we would be expelled from something or if we were about to hold a major tournament it would be taken off us.

The game started with no police in the ground ffs

There was a mass bundle outside of one of the teams hotels before teh game . The local police chief said he needed more officers to effectively control the game. When the reuest was refused he withdrew all officers in protest....

Heads ought to roll due to lack of any real police presence.

That said, some local chief will probably get a medal for how it was "handled."

It seems that security inside the stadium is on the home club. They provide private security and police is outside the stadium.
