Martino steps down, should we be worried?

And I think Everton supporters have more reason than most to be paranoid and worry about other clubs stealing the positives from them.
There is a great deal of hypocrisy on show though.

This genuinely is the reason I posted the thread, albeit I agree it was ill thought out. I read the news about Martino on Sky this morning and honestly had a little pang of worry about Bobby. While it does looked nailed on for Enrique, as a blue I can't help but worry. Positive mental attitude & Everton are not often seen in the same sentence...

There are plenty guilty of thinking in worst case scenario terms only. But Martinez seems incredibly loyal (see Wigan) and I think genuinely he seems quite excited by the prospect of doing well with us. There aren't a lot of clubs that would be a genuine step up and would offer Martinez the control he'd probably desire. I wouldn't worry just yet mate.

He wouldn't go until he's achieved his objective,

i.e. Putting Everton back were we belong, at the pinnacle of English and European football. Barcelona will be seen as a sideways step, at best, within 3 seasons.

Worst WUM effort ever.

Not really no, Martinez has done great in his first season but Barcelona is arguably the biggest job in world football, they won't pick someone based on one good season, even if he is a Catalan.

The only concern really should be if the new manager they do get decides he wants to keep Deulofeu. Even in the event of that, there's probably 50 other Deulofeus in La Liga playing for other clubs we could get instead.

Maybe ones for whom passing is their first, or even second, instinct....
