BBC Radio Merseyside reporting this morning that Roberto Martinez is trying to arrange a meeting with the referees bosses, for an explanation as to why so many decisions have gone against us recently.

Good I say - I know we can't change any results but someone is standing up for us at last in this matter. I'd have attempted this after John Terry's goal to be honest.

Will it mean that we'll get a few decisions our way or will it just make them angry?

All these pundits complaining recently about RM always complaining.

Until 3 weeks ago, I hardly heard the man complain, only praise everybody no matter what!

Then they state that these things work out 50/50 over a season.

Bet they don't.

Anybody got any stats that incorrect decisions have lead to a goal or penalty against us as opposed to a goal or penalty for us?
I have to conclude we might only get 25% of incorrect decisions in our favour.

....in the past I've known certain clubs where 'referee bosses' make the first move in contacting the manager to explain a decision.

Would have preferred him to have gone mad in the post match conference, but since the club is run by good little boys from top to bottom not a chance. Take the fine and the stick, nobody would be arsed. Show some passion like.

If these mistakes were random it would still take a few hundred games plus per season to even out statistically . But they're not random, most referees are psychologically weak, some have "other" reasons causing bias.

I still think it is down to protecting the Sky4, even if they dont realise they are doing it.

Yeah, a lot of it's subconscious, some of it's conscious....Clattenberg to Moyes "you don't give penalties against LFC in the last minute"

I just remembered that Moyes took a dvd to the refs boss at the time showing ten fouls on Andy Johnson in the box, and not one penalty given.
Moyes asking the question, please explain why by the laws of the game, none of them were penalties.
The refs boss agreed! But then nothing changed.

Id say this wont help us at all. And I say this as a ref me self.

Happy to hear the manager is willing to say something on the matter.

Make the meeting public knowledge as much as possible and get the media to print the offside pics and out of touch ball pics to prove our point
