We're 11th in the league, with a squad of players who most teams would kill for. It takes a special kind of bad manager to get a squad like this in the bottom half. West Ham, Swansea, Stoke, Southampton are above us, it has truly been a shambolic season.
It has but its done now.
Its up to the manager now to sort it out and after the last couple of months apart from picking naismith he has earned the right to give it his best shot

I'd say you're right, he has bought himself some time to turn this around but yesterday picking Naismith was just bizarre. It follows a long list of bizzare decisions he has made at his time here, even stretching back to last season. The dropping of Howard for Robles in that FA Cup quarter final against Arsenal, dropping McCarthy in the crucial game against Crystal Palace at home (a win near enough would have seen us on our way to 4th) and then the Alcaraz over John Stones.

I don't trust Martinez anymore, he reminds me of Rodgers with his cringeworthy comments too.

I see your point mate i really do.
A lot of his decisions have been awful but for me his first season and his changing of the tactics have given me some hope.
He has to get it right now with a proper pre-season and with a good balanced squad for next season.
He also needs a good start to next season and hopefully the future will be bright

I complied this up until the Everton game away at Stoke which shows the reverse effect

It suggests that the up and under agricultural brand of football seen in hunter-gatherer societies that some, including you, want to see bears less fruit than that 'modern football' that all the non-cave dwellers insist on playing.

I think both you, I and everyone else knows those figures are clearly falsified and that my figures, whilst only accounting for our last 11 games, are 100% accurate and reflective of our season as a whole.
Plus, taking pass distance into account over the course of the season it shows that when the average distance of a pass between each Everton player is longer that 5.7 yards we score 0.6 more goals per game thus winning more points when we play longer passes.

You missed the best one, picking Hibbert to play out of position at Left Back when Baines was out, instead of Luke Garbutt.
