We went away to the best team in the league, possibly even Europe and gave them a tough challenge and a scare- almost drawed, I d be surprised if The likes of Barca or Real or PSG could do that. We re hard to play against and we're starting to gain our respect once again- a couple of wins will boost our confidence and make us feared again.

I tend to agree with you mate but I have promised @kithnou that I will watch McGeady closely from now on as @kithnou (whose opinion I value) reckons he's ace.

Thank you my fellow blue @deipnosophist

I am happy to educate our fellow Evertonian @noel early on the merits of our one and only "Geads".

You both need to to watch him carefully, but not with your eyes wide shut, or you will miss the fastest feet in world football at work. It is with these feet that true magic occurs.

As I posted in the other McGeady forum, "Aiden McGeady: The Answer to all our Problems" ( which by the way I advise you to take a good look at as there are some pie charts and statistics that prove my point), and I quote...
" You'll all miss him when he is gone. Could have been the difference against Chelsea for mine. Those maze-like runs. Bamboozling the opposition's inferior defenders.
The exciting part is that he hasn't reached his full potential yet.
I am overwhelmed by anticipation..."

Absolute steal. And to think he has nowhere even approached his peak yet. We are in for a Golden Era of wingermanship over the next few years. Just keep your eyes peeled on him.

Were it not from many and many world class saves from goalkeepers all season from his dead eye shooting, I have no doubt he would be our top scorer. Just a simple of case of "bad luck".

Far superior player, for example, to that donkey Di Maria that Man U paid £59.7m for. Martinez is a genius. A genius eye for talent.

Do yourselves a favour from now on and keep a closer, more appreciative, educated eye on our gun winger. We are blessed...

This post is so good, it deserves being posted thrice.

I tell you mate, you are on the verge of convincing me that McGeady is even better than our most talismanic player. Naismith needs to look to his laurels!

I consider Naisy the attacking nexus of our team. Most of our movement comes from him and his inventiveness and one touch passing...and there is no doubt he preoccupies defenders with his clever off the ball movement as well. By no means do I think he's the finished product. I have seen him occasionally misdirect passes and get involved in some silly incidents. But generally he is an indispensable cog in the Everton machine in my opinion (and I am pleased that our manager seems to see it that way as well).

I await with bated breath

Wonderful points you raise @deipnosophist

Our beloved little bulldog. To me, our Andy Gray of the modern Everton era.
Mr Steven John Naismith. Attacking midfielder extraordinaire.

Some call him "Naisy". Some call him "Stevie". I simply call him "Superstar"!!!
Those delicious vertical leaps that outjump much taller defenders.
Those cheeky runs that aren't rewarded by inferior teammates... as he is clearly far more a cerebral footballer.
The clinical, mouthwatering finishing that leaves us all open mouthed.
The in your face, bullying, antagonistic behaviour to opposition players.

Shall I go on?

Clearly after John Stones, IMHO, Everton's most gifted player. But definitely our most important player. In fact, and I kid you not, he may well be our most important player in a decade.

Tim Cahill? Covered. Wayne Rooney? Covered. Kevin Mirallas? Covered.

£32 million for Diego Costa? Meh
£38 million for Sergio Aguero? Double Meh

Our little Superstar Stevie would score 30 goals a season minimum with that quality around him. What a bargain ;)

Once again, like my man "Geads", this excitement machine has not reached his peak yet. We haven't seen his best. In fact, we are about to collectively salivate in awe at what we are going to experience on the pitch until 2019...yes I repeat 2019!!... from this "Scottish Messi" we have been privileged to witness in an Everton shirt.

:celebrate::celebrate::celebrate::celebrate::celebrate::celebrate::celebrate::celebrate::celebrate::celebrate::celebrate::celebrate::celebrate::celebrate::celebrate:

and you have been rewarded...
