Again i feel martinez and his philosophy of keeping possession does play a part, that is were i feel martinez should shoulder some blame and of course the players need to take some responsibility too.

I agree with that, We do seem to keep the ball a little to much at times and over pass it, But that's the same way we played last season is it not?

Injuries are a major factor to this season, Players out and players coming back trying to get fit, Add to that more games because of Europe and we see a side start to struggle and self belief go out the window

Didn't he have last summer to 'sort the deadwood out'? Not only did he not sort it out, he secured their positions within the club!

Either short term or long term I have no faith in the guy. Even with injuries, he's had enough time to have resurrected the league form. he's been a total failure. When was the last time our manager won just 2 out of 16 and stayed in post?
To be fair though, on the back of last season, nobody could have predicted how quickly some of them would plummet in form. Don't get me wrong, I don't believe he's bullet proof, I just think he deserves another chance. The only time I can remember Everton getting rid early is Mike Walker, we tend to give our Managers a fair chance, which for me is until the end of this year. Being an Evertonian requires a great deal of patience as you know.

I think we did play some possession last season but i think we were alot more direct and faster at times too.

Imagine we got rid of HK in December 1983. What might we have become.

Your in! your out! and shake it all about !

I have had enough of his recent decisions but i wouldnt exactly have him sacked tomorrow (maybe end of season if we flirt with relegation)

Some people do view him as a saint. I feel to some he is bulletproof.

The reason i say i am backing him is because i never want a everton manager to fail.

Yes but the fact you believe im one of them is wrong, i pointed out that even with last seasons great points total, there were games like southampton away, palace at home and west brom at home were there were still teething problems. I said i was willng to let them go as were not perfect, but this season it is more evident given most teams have figured us out.

Did we lose yesterday because Chelsea has "found us out"?

Have RS "found us out"?

Im not buying this WE'VE BEEN FOUND OUT stuff. It's clearly the easy solution and explanation for many.

2 upfront with one playable forward?

If Moyes was in 12th in the league, with his baffling substitutions, dont you think he would be lynched ? It has happened before with moyes so why is bobby any different, especially given the board bought lukaku for £28 million at bobbys request and is making him look like a sunday league footballer by refusing to go to two upfront when required.

No one see's him like that mate ! Throwing stuff like that in makes you sound like a drama queen ( Thread title nailed that) You make sound points at times but really this sort of behaviour gets peoples backs up. You've not hid though, so well done on that mate.

The problem with the theory that its the 'added games of Europe' is that we went out in the first round of both the FA cup and the Carling Cup. Theres been like 3 extra matches so far this year, total.

just checked, two extra games this year vs last year.
