He's a much better manager than you are I mate. Your post smacks of misplaced entitlement. Its a poot season. It happens.

I hope you are right, like i said im happy for this thread to be the center of all laughter when we win a couple of trophies and finish in the top four, all under the mentor that is Bobby browns shoes. If ever there was a manager i would love for Everton to win a cup under it is martinez, you cant help but love his class, sometimes he needs to call a spade a spade and see things for what they are and not give us the possession stats each week, or talk about our character.

Apparantley (i dont claim to be ITK) Martinez focuses on more ball work and less general fitness. Can Martinez adapt to find a winning formula of fitness and integrate his philosophy ?
yeah, but the players have to be uninjured and able to match fitness to play. The number of injuries we had in the first half of the season was ridiculous, we were having to rush players back without being properly ready. We had no opportunity to build the consistency or confidence that we've been slowly gaining in the last month or so

In relation to injuries, i believe this season is the most injuries we have had, martinez spoke last year about his methods, different muscles are required for practising on the ball training (honestly i dont have a clue what that means) but i will say i prefer for him to do what he did with mccarthy and give him as much time to recover as needed. Injuries no doubt play a part in any team but it is the managers responsibilty to work with these problems.

Some fans on this forum need to give their heads a wobble, we have just been beaten by one of the top four teams in Europe by a scrappy goal in th 89th min, played an in form Liverpool team, played an in form C Palace and man city, none of them games did we look like getting beat in, we could have quite easily won lay night if lukaku had put that chance away.

This manager has made us all believe in our club again, he is not bothered about the opposition he focuses on us, we're as moyes was how can we stop the other team.

For me it's give the guy a break

Oh god peope want us to turn into Spurs or some other club with delusions of grandeur, one average season and it's off with his head regardless of what else has gone before it or current mitigating circumstances.

Get a grip ffs.

If Moyes was in 12th in the league, with his baffling substitutions, dont you think he would be lynched ? It has happened before with moyes so why is bobby any different, especially given the board bought lukaku for £28 million at bobbys request and is making him look like a sunday league footballer by refusing to go to two upfront when required.

There's no way Martinez is getting sacked in the summer. Moyes had plenty of mixed seasons. Kenwright is simply not a chairman with unrealistic high standards. It's both a weakness and a virtue.

I think once we get rid of a lot of the deadwood and strengthen on the wings we will be a force next season although I think it might take to the one after that before we really see the benefits of what Martinez is trying to build.

Have patience lads.

- Of course if we win the Europa League that process will get accelerated.

I see things a bit differently. This league season's been a complete write off, but I reckon we'll be okay from now on. People forget Martinez is still a young manager with a hell of a lot to learn - he's only just staring to get to grips with the defensive side of the game. We're not going to get relegated, so he may as well use the rest of the season to try and figure out getting the balance right in the team. A few new younger heads signed for next season and I think it will all come together.

If Everton win the Europa League (which I believe is possible), some people on here are gonna look like proper bellwhiffs.

He has changed a lot of the backroom staff so only time will tell.

Again i understand and respect peoples opinions, that is what the thread/forum is for, as soon as you mention something negative Bobby does it knee jerk time, take your head for a wobble, fuming with vengeance, read the post as long and tedious as you may think it is, im not hating on bobby just pointing out the obvious.

Out of both cups, 12th in the league, players falling out with martinez, garbutt, eto'o, distin, mirallas to name the recent ones. The man could have us relegated and people here would still have my head on a spike for speaking out of terms.

Again i hope bobby proves me wrong next season. Let me say im not the only one who thinks this but its easier to keep your mouth shut sometimes because of the abuse you will get on here, maybe you should ask the sleeping crowd at goodison park each fortnight what they think, the lack of atmosphere and the constant bewilderment at bobbys tactics are evident.

Pretty sure Martinez does focus on the opposition and how to stop their attacks, etc.
Mind you there is nothing wrong with that. Mourinho does it every week and he is regarded as the best coach in the league by many.
