That may be true but I was merely pointing out that the second leg of the Europa was a game that you had suggested we prioritise - which is a non issue if we get walloped in the first leg.
Tell that to everyone who went to the Fiorentina game. Back at Goodison anything is possible.

The problem i have with all these people who come out and say "he was like this at Wigan" is...you weren't shouting it out last season.

I've got Wigan friends and this season i'm sick of being told...see he can't manage a defence, you'll leak goals, you'll get relegated..we did. Told you thats what he's like and so on...

I didn't have any of these fans say this last season, so which is it? Is he the Wigan manager or is he the recent history high points tally positive everton manager?

He can't be both.

A lot of football fans are fickle, myself included. Take this season for example:

Kone is crap...comes back does well now he should be starting ahead of Rom
Lukaku is boss..scored all them goals to get us europe..now he's crap and not worth a penny, he's lazy and rubbish
Barry should be picked for England, solid midfielder for us...now he's crap and should never play again Besic is the best player EVERRRRR
Joel is the worst keeper alive we're doomed...joel plays well and now fans are livid he's not our number one
Howard, Jags, Baines, Coleman, have all had similar rash treatment from our "fans"

Maybe, just maybe Martinez hasn't turned us into Wigan, maybe there's quite a few contributing factors into why we're playing so bad.
Not only that but when Martinez sends us out to defend we look comfortable but still a threat. With Moyes we never looked a threat and always likely to loose a goal.

That's the problem I've noticed when I say something negative about one of our players.

Pretty soon the negative tits are ready to take it to an extreme position when in reality a lot of the times I'm simply thinking "Could do better".

Quite so. But we're entering a very demanding run - and I think some fans have unrealistic expectations.

We can't expect the first team to perform at their best in each of the next five games.
Arsenal have a much harder game in the CL and if we can't beat Leicester at home in 2nd gear we probably deserved to be relegated. It's the business end of the season. They just need to suck it up.

Arsenal play at home on Wednesday - and so have a day longer to recover. However, their squad is quite big enough to produce two good teams. If the players on Sunday didn't play on Wednesday, they won't need any recovery time.

And Stoke haven't got any European games - and they too get an extra day to recover before we play them.

That's why it's essential to get 3 points against Leicester.
