I'm not.

We've a potential 30 points to win.

We've had a potential 84 points to win so far and have amassed the sum of 28. And most of them were in the first part of the season when things weren't so bad.

Even if the ratio over the whole season so far were to continue, we would accrue a grand total of 38. If we go by the ratio of points accumulation over the last 3 months it will be a good bit less than that.

The reality of the situation does not lend itself to positivism.

...so, just to recap....

It may not lend itself to positive thinking but you cannot let the negativity win.

Otherwise we are truly beaten before we begin.

As meatloaf said 1 out of 3 ain't bad. The fat tit

Think he needs at least 1 win and 2 draws in the next 8 days. The Europa League has masked a totally unacceptable season.
Level with Villa and 3 points above Burnley with this squad is mental.

I expect/demand victory tomorrow, followed by a positive result in Kiev and at least a point at QPR.

This league season cannot continue as it has done. I desperately wanted him to suceed too.

Hope so mate. We should do ok.

Next three games will settle a lot of issues. EL progression and Martinez is going to be safe as houses for the time being as long as we don't descend the table.
So now we're starting to get the uncertainty and the caveats......24 hrs ago you were telling us there was absolutely no way we were going down. Welcome to the real world.

Martinez deserves another season, hopefully he'll have learned from this season. Think what he has to work on first is his stubbornness, we can all see certain things aren't working, he needs to see it.
You want him to be kept on, but can there any more damning evidence against a manager than what you say here -- that he doesn't see what's wrong! I give up.
