It was good enough for Moyes, this is my only point here.

Is it good enough? Well of course not. But 72 points was decent last season wasn't it...was that good enough for you? Dont you think he should be given a chance to take us near that again? No? Too difficult to stand behind a manager having a poor season?
his 5th relegation battle in his 6th season as a PL Manager

You can change it if you want mate.

We are 14th, not in the bottom 3; we have a 6 point gap that can be sustained; other teams have the likes of City, Arsenal, United, Liverpool and Chelsea to play still.

This is far from lost. It's more than probable that we'll get out of this by the end of the month...so why kick out a perfectly good manager having a bad season to try again with another one.

I'm trying to keep positive but I'm dreading Saturday and QPR's game. If they win we'll be 3 points off bottom without us doing anything. To me that's scary and way too close for comfort.

Team spirit and morale look completely shot now.when this happens in any industry its down to poor management. I've been a big martinez fan but its hard to back him at the moment. If we fail to beat Newcastle at home its difficult to see where another win will come from. Even worse the entertainment on offer is non existant and has turned my beloved goodison in to a morgue

I said this before and I repeat, all the fans reaction (booing) and online, some media stories, bookies talking about Martinez being sacked, pundits asking lot of questions, ect.ect.ect.

Yet not a single word of support from BK and the board.

Roberto is a dead man walking, once we are out of Europa League, he will be gone, he might even be gone if we lose to Newcastle next week

He's a dead man walking if we dont get clear of this situation. Kenwright: he stood by Moyes when he had us 17th. Do you really think Kenwright is arsed about what fans say on a forum? It's not a trait of his I recognise. Besides, when we get clear the boos subside, the demands for head rolling will go away.

Didnt look shot to me; they just looked clueless and frustrated in equal measure.

He was sacked after we lost to Boro.

Stop this.

No, he was sacked after that on the midweek game away to West Ham.

Yet again you are wrong.

We played WHU on 06/03/02 and lost 1-0 .

On 10/03/02 we payed the FA cup 1/4 final v Boro and lost 3-0.

On 12/03/02 Smith was sacked.

Are you a bullsh*tter or economical with the truth?

Both QPR and Burnley have very difficult opponents. I dont expect either to win. Maybe one will pick up a point...then it's down to us on the following day to put 8/9 points distance between us.

If that happens, I think we can all agree this season is practically safe.

Dave can you please at least acknowledge, that Moyes had nowhere near the squad we currently have.

This was Moyes line up on the opening day of the 03/04 season, which of these would get in our starting xi now
Lehmann 1 1 Wright
Lauren 12 23 Pistone
Cole 3 4 Stubbs
Campbell 23 4 Yobo
Toure 28 6 Unsworth

Pires 7 2 Watson
Vieira 4 11 Pembridge (Naysmith 66'')
Ljungberg 8 16 Gravesen
Silva 19 22 Linderoth
Wiltord 11 8 Radzinski

What difference does it make in any case? I was clearing a minor detail up (or so I thought). It's insignificant. Unelss you see it being of importance?

he got tin tacked because we were ONE POINT ABOVE THE RELEGATION ZONE.

That's the salient issue here.

Jesus wept.
