Have you seen the league table and results recently, or watched that Everton side play "football"? It's fairly self-explanatory why, don't pretend like it's all a completely mystery to you. You might disagree on where the line in the sand is, but we're way beyond the point of people being accused of knee-jerking or "plotting" here.

Romelu Lukaku has scored 17 goals in all competitions (including internationals) this season and 22 last season

Who was the last Everton player to deliver this sort of goal return - I don't get why he's getting stick - maybe better to get behind this young talented player

It's a joke post obviously... everyone knows he's not going anywhere, but that doesn't stop us discussing whether he should be booted out on merit.

But how does that answer why someone is constantly petitioning for the manager to be sacked...and,in fact, was petitioning for it months ago before this run has reached where it is? Maybe you can explain that?

If you have an unlimited budget then Lukaku is a great potential buy.

If you haven't then you need to look at other areas of the team as well.

Granted £8 mill probably doesn't get you a world class midfielder but would have got you the likes of Tadic

I'm not as concerned as those numbers suggest I should be, and I don't know why.

I hate myself for still wanting to keep the guy, for some reason the traditionalist feel here is that we hope he gets through (is there anyone who could possibly do better than him in the last 10 games?) and gets a fresh chance to prove his worth next season. Still, fuming more than ever at the incompetence...
