Finishing the season in are current position or maybe 1-2 places higher, many blues feel we will lose 3-4 of are best players? Also .. Thinking about it finishing around 12th-13th how does that affect are money from the position we finish in the league table?? Just few things I've been thinking over .. And the bigger picture who do we attract to replace him IF the board make that call??

Roberto Martinez says his side must now regroup and take advantage of eight-day break
he said that last break we had, something needs to be done
can he just take a permanent break from our club

An example of good management:

http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/31742900

"Manchester City captain Vincent Kompany was dropped to freshen up the side after their damaging loss at Liverpool, says manager Manuel Pellegrini. Centre-back Kompany, 28, was an unused substitute for the 2-0 win over bottom club Leicester City following a run of poor form."

Wouldn't an example of 'good management' by Martinez be, say, dropping Howard for the next game, given he was at fault for the first goal tonight and has conceded 9 goals in the last 6 games?

There are probably others that could be dropped too, but how about making a 'statement'?

We all know he won't do this, and this is what separates Martinez from the best managers, and why many of us have had enough.

Wouldnt be shocked if he resigned tomorrow.

With 5 mins to go said his time is up. At the end of the game he looked absolutely shattered, head down walking past the Everton fans as he and some of the team was getting booed. Now not so sure. I think we have got the most loyal supporters in the prem, RM is a blue and maybe now is not the time to get rid and maybe its time for everyone including the fans to give it everything to get us through this.

If it hadn't been for QPR, Leicester and Burnley all losing tonight as well then I wouldn't have complained if he'd been sacked in the morning. But we're six points off the bottom three, so I don't see any point in getting shut at this point in the season.

I'm reasonably sure he has the full backing of Kenwright and the board who see him as someone to take us into Europe on a regular basis, but he's not showing it at the moment where it really matters, which is in the Premiership.

Kenwright will stick by him until Newcastle. I can see that being a must win for him though, regardless of the fact other teams are down pretty much.

I have a feeling though mate that the likes of us will look back on this night and point to it in the future when Martinez turns this around from Newcastle on as the night that only a few stood four square behind him as the whole forum crumbled to the defeat.

You're like Hitler in the bunker with Eva Braun aka bizzaro . You can hear the Russians tearing Berlin apart.

Not that you are like Hitler, you're a nice bloke. I'm just analygising.

Didnt we do this regroup thing a few months back when the side flew off overseas to a sunny destination for "team bonding"? And how many games have we won since then? What a waste of time that was.

Is he still here?

Oh well at least we cant lose anything but players to injury or suicide this weekend. Thatll be a win then.
