Midtable and at Wembley and some are talking about disgracing the club with a bedsheet protest.

You couldn't make it up.

The real issue here is that there's a massive difference between the way that objective people in the football industry view our position and the way a few hundred lost souls amongst our support who are whipped into a frenzy by forums feel about it.

No one's arsed about where we are because we are solidly placed and have a massive chance to make history. Any Geordie effort like that will just raise eyebrows.

Lol.

Only a few hundred ?
Only those on forums ?
Go into the outside world mate, I know nobody but you (not having a go) who are defending the guy. Everywhere I go people are saying he has to go. People who are season ticket holders, away day travellers, armchair fans, even the Wigan fan who is my grandfathers friend is giving it all the 'I told you so'. if we are to worry about outsiders viewpoint on us then Wigan fans should know more about bobby than most...

Tbh I think the Baines situation and the way he handled it has been a massive final nail in his coffin for a lot of people who where on the fence or still supported him.

People have wanted Martinez out since christmas last season, this season has been an utter farce and it should be a matter of time now.

Last season there was a few fans saying i was premature in calling for bobby's head, now there is only Dave and maybe Zatara defending him. Most have chosen the 'enough is enough' option now, unless he goes on a major winning streak - cup included, then I think the Baines thing would be looked back upon as the nail in the coffin.

I still stand by what was described as my contradictory viewpoint, i think its a real shame bobby is soon to leave if reports are correct because i like the man. I like how he talks about Everton, i like his positive outlook, but when things are poor his positive talk turns into absolute waffle. As much as i want him to be our manager for many years to come, i still cannot ignore the fact that results are simply not good enough.

They have been proved right

Depends on how you judge things.

I know its a results business in the main but there are other things attached with the job. Sadly I think he is screwed now but I do think once someone new comes in and hopefully pushes us on there will be a lot of Martinez's influence on that success.

I think he has looked at rebuilding the club from the bottom up, has put a lot into players of the future instead of worrying about everything in the present and has somewhat took his eye off things. I am looking forward to some of his younger signings coming to the fore in a few years time.

If I was to look at Martinez's time here objectively I would say there are some changes that have been positive namely the style of play and the infrastructure and long term planning with Finch farm along with the development of young players but the negatives' are just to glaring to overlook

However the numbers do not lie as we have been going backwards in the premier league for the last two season each one incrementally worse then the year before. Coupled with the strange decisions that were made during games and the comments post match interview's in his pressers tells me that he just does not get it which could jeopardise the league status of this club long term.

We look like we are going to finish in the bottom half of the table again and we are edging closer to the relegation trap door ( closer to relegation than a top 6-7 finish) I for one thought that those days were behind us, but not with Roberto.

Sure every manager goes through a bad spell but with Roberto its lasted two years and he still hasn't noticed its going wrong. Its always somebody else's fault which is a sure fire sign he is out of his depth and does not have the answers.

Maybe he is too soft as a manager perhaps we lack leaders or maybe he silences anyone who questions him but what ever it is as sad as it is he is not right for Everton FC

I believe this. The faith he showed in Howard for example ruined this season alone. Not strong enough to make a tough call. Will cost him his job. But I still don't believe he will learn from it in his future positions.

forget the banner

sent Roberto a gift for the derby....just some light reading and a brush up of how others do it ;)

Bet we still lose though
