The reality is that nothing will happen until we're no longer in the FA Cup.

In my opinion if we lose the semi he could be sacked. If we win the semi he will be here until the final has been played at least. If we win the cup he probably won't be sacked.

I think that Bill knows that anyone pro-Martinez or on the fence will go mental at the decision to sack him before a semi or before a final if we end up losing the game and Bill will not want to be held responsible for our best chance at winning a cup in years.

This is very true a few weeks ago I thought he'd be here no matter what next season but things are starting to turn nasty.

I was totally opposed to the idea of a banner.

I still am.

But one thing I am glad off

There had for too long on GOT been a belief among many people, almost but not exclusively people who live far away and don't go the match, that the away fans are somehow a different breed to those of us who only go to home games these days and that they are totally uncritical of any aspect of our performances on the road.

They aren't.....we are one and the same race.

And the travelling fans are now giving the thumbs down, just like they do when they go to home games.

Your missing my point that a banner which could be one persons opinion could be seen by millions, it doesn't represent the crowd without chants or protest it's just that persons opinion so let them show their numbers by other means.
It was representing the thoughts of 72% of Evertonians according to the poll on the biggest Everton site on the net i.e. This one.....

Think that's a bit over the top like, I don't know anybody who's up in arms about our current plight that isn't from the internet. Most are disappointed for the second year running and a few would sack the manager but none are outraged or offended at it. I've seen a lot worse teams and got behind both the team and the manager and I recon when or if the time is right to get rid we will have no problems doing so.

If you went to a restaurant and paid for a meal that was substandard would you complain or would you be prepared to send your compliments to the chef in the hope that your encouragement might give him the lift he needs to improve and prepare a better meal for the next customer.

I get the feeling we'll all be here again in a few years time anyway whomever replaces him will also be up against it.

well they should be voicing their opinion somehow then instead of letting two kids make a banner.

Or you'd say nothing, go home and snide him on trip advisor. The British way that.

See if your banners bring you any success... oh Christ we've became Villa fans circa 2010 with O'Niell. oh how I laughed at them, see where they are now.

If you want him gone ,get him out, do something about it, voice your opinion, protest, don't just make a banner and wave it about trying to get on tv.

I'm getting behind the team myself.

A banner is a protest and also a way to voice an opinion

The banner reflects the thoughts of the majority though, and it's had the desired effect, as it's made Martinez tenure and current relationship with the fanbase a National talking point.

As someone who regularly attends matches home and away, I can tell you that plenty real honest to goodness human beings also want him gone mate

I spent the entire Man United game stood next to one and every time I leave Goodison these days I hear more and more people expressing their discontent

This is more than just "internet hate", it's something people from all areas of the fan base are feeling

Is right Martinez is apparently not fussed about us but the way forward is to take the chants towards kenwright and make him listen Martinez has blamed hard working fans at goodison for the bad atmosphere so wat about the fans taking it to kenwright now bypassing Martinez with our thoughts of him

i dont understand that mentality , no offence.
it's about time that evertonians start to act like everybody else when in real trouble. why should fans just sit there and suffer a slow death - so to speak...it's not even an offence against anyone, not even martinez, he knows what waits him if he's not delivering. and he has always known that everton wont be his last job as a manager.
