As far as protesting at the match goes, nothing ever comes close to the old Everton custom of a barrage of cushions gliding down from the Top Balcony like so many frisbees.

As a young Street Ender in the early 70s, the one mitigating factor at the end of another dire performance from the Blues was to be treated to this Colloseum-esque thumbs down from the arl arses up in the Gods.

Exactly so. These days, those throwing the cushions would suffer trial by internet - and my guess is that they would have some very 'pointed' answers to those trying them! Quite rightly!
