I'm not sure how you can analyse a game to that level and not reference that one team was down to ten men for most of it.
So yeah. Tiredness is a factor. And again if they'd identified it before the game why not do it from the start?
Mainly for these reasons.

1. Giving the manager the benefit of the doubt. Doing the same tactic all game is normally a bad idea, because the opposition catch on and learn how to stop you. Even the players will see the wide players looking to get behind and instinctively look to close the space off if you spend an entire game doing the same thing.

2. West ham haven't got a terrible manager. They are where they are on being able to win games, with more than one tactic at the same time. So them not crossing it in for 90 minutes is just them playing their game what they are used to. When it didn't work, exploit the massive weakness in the team instead.

Also if being down to 10 men was a factor in the result then we shouldn't have been 2-0 up at he time.

I don't know if you are of an age to remember, shark, but we had a week from hell in 1971.....lost to the RS at OT in an F.A. Cup semi final on the Saturday then excited the European Cup at the quarter final stage on the following Wednesday.

:(

Me, @Dario Terracotta and @BlockHead have been haunted by that week ever since :(

You know things are bad when old hands like us and @Khalekan are comparing the current situation with events of 30 and 45 years ago... and in the full knowledge that fellow sufferers, the likes of @Joey66 @oldblue and probably many, many more are nodding in agreement.

El Bob has an awful lot to answer for... for bringing back such painful memories.

Not sure how anyone bound bulldoze through that logic to be honest
Glossing over the complete sense I made in the previous post ?

You can't blame tiredness for having a player less if the team was controlling the game. That doesn't make any sense , either the team was affected by having one player or they weren't.

And as neither a defensive midfielder nor defender were lost to a red card and even had a fresh one come off the bench, you just have to question why we have up another convincing lead. The team turned out was better off without mirallas on the pitch, why the defence capulated is down to the tactics.

I think all this nonsense about Kopite behaviour is stupid and pathetic. It's like we used wave banners and flags at every game in the 60s,70s and 80s yet know it has become Kopite behaviour. There was a time when our fans wouldn't stand up at away games because they didn't want to seem like Kopites. Honestly it's ludicrous I think as a club we have been ignored for too long, I think it's time we destroy the plucky little Everton myth. We are in the top 5 most successful clubs in England we deserve better than this.

Nothing kopite about it at all. If someone wants to unveil a martinez out banner then fine. Equally if someone wants to unveil a pro roberto banner then fine.

Personally I'd guess that Kenwright has no idea about the overwhelming opposition to Roberto so it could be useful in that sense.

Good idea. Let's wait till we lose that really get our money's worth.

The players will show up at Wembley, no matter who the manager is.

Thats not a concern for me.

Even if we get somebody new in TODAY, they wont be able to uncoach the "work" Martinez has done.
