And did I say that it made Villa play better? Did I also say that it was to make Roberto do what the fans want? No, of course not. Yeah it was picked up by the media. Yeah it was debated. We showed them eh?....

But, whatever, my point has been lost in a non-sensical discussion so forget I even bothered to suggest that we try a different approach. Grab your sheets & white tape and give 'em hell!

You would need a banner for every single possible scenario in that case. Or else you would just be carrying one around on the off chance it might actually be applicable to the game. It just doesn't make sense.

Maybe we should give him a phone where he can "ask the audience " for tactical advice during the games and put the suggestion on the screen for all to see :cheers:

mind you the most useful suggestion to him would be to do one me thinks

You suggested a 'constructive banner' and then used that Villa one as an example. Which was not constructive in the slightest. Sorry but you've had a mare. We all have dreadful ideas sometimes though, don't worry about it.

It's actually a good idea and we should rotate flags and lift them up when required such as

Corners "mark your man" or "someone get on the back post ffs"
Free kicks or penalties "Baines please"
60 minutes in and getting beat "make a sub now" along with a smaller flag which says "striker for midfielder" or "winger for defensive midfielder"

Finally if we are in a winning position a huge one which says "game management" or "kick it into the stands Stones".

It would be easier to sack him like but as that's not going to happen I reckon the above is the next best thing. I think Boberto would probably even appreciate it because he seems incapable himself of sorting the above out from the touchline.

Yeah but there's no point in beating round the bush

If the fans want Martinez out I would imagine the ideal banner would read Martinez Out
