I know football fans are a fickle bunch and the run we've been on lately hasn't been great but come on... He's a good manager, despite the odd flaw (guess what, he's human).

We bossed the first half, just weren't clinical. Really we were undone by a few poor minutes at the start of the second half.

We bossed the first 10-15 minutes without creating any real chances. Did we actually have one single shot on target?

They had the best chance as well after Stones tried to dribble three players.

I will give the players credit for the fight shown obviously after going down to 10, but until Mirallas decided to do it on his own it was no better than Hull, Newcastle, Stoke, etc etc

And let's face it, it was great to get that late equaliser last week and take it to a replay, and to almost progress after things looked desperate tonight, but we have had 2 chances to beat West Ham in a week and couldn't.

Even if we get into serious trouble with regards to relegation (we really shouldn't), I'd probably keep him because he's proven he can handle the dogfight in the past.

Let's hope the players take that spirit into the next few games...

Since Hull, we've had effectively had 3 draws. Tonight showed the players are indeed up for the fight. I have a great concern that it took a players' revolt to make RM change his tactics; if the manager cannot see that things aren't working, then that's deeply worried.

RM has bought himself more time, but the sack is back in the shed but the door hasn't been padlocked yet.
